About your energy

About your energy

If you’re here, I strongly believe that I don’t need to pitch you about the fact that we are surrounded by energy. You are probably already familiar (not new knowledge, this is ancient wisdom) that us, living beings, are just bundles of energy at various frequencies.

To simplify (a lot) we could think about it like having 4 metaphysical bodies to take care of: mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual/energetic.

You do a lot to care for your physical body: You brush your teeth everyday. You go to the gym every week.

You care for your mind by reading and learning.

You enhance your community by talking  to your family and friends daily and take care both of your emotions and mental aspects by seeing a therapist regularly.

But what do you do to take care of your energy? The energy body is more subtle and effects your life in ways that aren’t always recognizable. All the bodies operate in different ways and under different rules, but they are interconnected.

For the longest time it was believed that the matter was emanating this energy field around it. In other words, if you had an imbalance in matter, the field would show that disturbance. It wasn’t until Harold Saxton Burr started measuring the electric field around eggs that things changed a little bit. He ended up developing a study about women with uterus cancer by measuring their field. All women that had the cancer had the same pattern and some healthy women had that pattern. Those healthy women ended up developing cancer.

“In his book The Fields of Life (1973), Burr used the analogy of the iron filings with which I played as a child. If you shake the iron filings off the paper and add new ones, they arrange themselves into the same patterns as the discarded ones. It is the field that is organizing the filings; the field is not being produced by the filings. Burr wrote: “Something like this . . . happens in the human body. Its molecules and cells are constantly being torn apart and rebuilt with fresh material from the food we eat. But, thanks to the controlling [life]-field, the new molecules and cells are rebuilt as before and arrange themselves in the same pattern as the old ones” (Burr, 1973, pp. 12–13). […] Energy is not an epiphenomenon of matter; energy is organizing matter.

That was fundamental for us to understand that the field influences matter and not the opposite. Hence the importance of taking care of your energy. And that’s also why sometimes after taking care of your body, your emotions and your mind you still don’t feel fulfilled. Your energy blueprint – the one that will serve as a mold for all the others – might be damaged.

The hard truth is that many of us either come from dysfunctional families or work in toxic environments in such a way that we don’t even realize how many things deplete our energy. Even our subconscious minds can harm us without us noticing. Feeling drained becomes your “normal life”. Mainly because energy balance is not a final state, but a process to which we must commit daily, and you are not paying attention to that.

Paying attention is being present. We spend the majority of our time either living by past emotions/habits or anticipating the future overlain with the old guideposts. When we get there, that past is recycled into the same behaviors, and nothing really changes.

I’m not saying that only Reiki or Bengston are the only way to help you. Please don’t think about it that way! You are the owner of your energy! If I inspire you to take any action right now towards your energy health it’s a WIN!

There are so many different theories, explanations and techniques that approach meridians, chakras, and energetic fields that even if I tried I wouldn’t be able to list them all. All of them differ greatly not only between themselves but also from practitioner to practitioner or master to master. I encourage you to do your own research and evolve your own understanding.

However, if you are looking for inexpensive and non-invasive technique, Reiki is a great option. You can chill while we take care of you. The treatments we offer are easier doorways you can take to achieve relaxation.
