As a writer, I have to write everyday. And let me tell you: It’s challenging.
Our brains are hardwired to save energy… so we have no problem in dropping challenging things, especially if they’re something new we’re trying to implement in our lives.
’till this day, I haven’t found anything more effective than Jerry Seinfeld’s productivity advice about not breaking the chain to keep me motivated.
Seinfeld’s idea is this: each year, he hangs a large year-at-a-glance calendar on his wall, and he puts an “X” every day he writes new material.
One “X” after the other creates a “chain” (with the top and bottom of each X touching one another), and the idea is pretty simple: never break the chain.
This is so popular amongst writers that the site https://750words.com/ has it embedded in their space for writing. But you can just print it as an excel worksheet for the month or year, and even insert more goals in it.
If you’re looking to make some changes in your life, you know I’ll support you all the way. That’s why today I’m inserting here two options for you to print and follow up with your goals/habits.
And remember: Be Wise and Have TOOOOOONS of Fun! 😉
